Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program

The Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP), originally launched as the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program (AIPP) in 2017, is a fast-track immigration pathway designed to address labor shortages and support economic growth in Atlantic Canada. This specialized, employer-driven initiative allows skilled workers, international graduates, and their families to settle in Canada’s four Atlantic provinces: Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador. Key features of the program include:

Employer-Driven Approach: Employers in Atlantic Canada can hire qualified foreign workers to fill labor gaps without needing a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA).

Streamlined Permanent Residency: Applicants with a valid job offer from a designated employer can expedite their pathway to permanent residency.

Settlement Support: The program ensures comprehensive settlement support to help newcomers integrate successfully into the region.

At Shivansh International, we are here to guide you through every step of the AIP, making your journey to Canada seamless and fulfilling.

About the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP)

The Atlantic Immigration Program offers a streamlined and fast-track process for immigrants who meet the program’s requirements. Unlike traditional immigration pathways, AIP does not rely on a points-based system. Instead, it emphasizes employer participation, ensuring that applicants have job offers and settlement plans in place. This program is designed to facilitate long-term settlement, making it easier for newcomers to integrate into the community and workforce of Atlantic Canada.

How to Apply for the Atlantic Immigration Pilot for Canada?

Applying for the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program (AIPP) involves several steps. Here’s a brief guide to help you through the process:

Gather Documents: Ensure that you have all the required documents, including your job offer and proof of meeting the eligibility criteria.

Settlement Plan: Upon receiving a job offer, you must create a Plan of Settlement with a designated Service Provider. This plan supports you and your family as you settle in Canada, offering resources and assistance in the community.

Job Offer Endorsement: Your job offer needs to be endorsed by the province where you will work. Your employer handles this endorsement and provides you with a Certificate of Endorsement, which is required to apply for permanent residency.

Community Support: The AIPP also offers various supports such as housing assistance, language training, and community integration through settlement service providers, helping newcomers adapt smoothly.

Economic Benefits: The program helps address labor market gaps, supports international graduates, and fosters economic growth in the Atlantic provinces.

Pathway to Permanent Residency: Once you meet the requirements, you can apply for permanent residency, securing long-term stability for you and your family.
